The inaugural CCA EXPO was a smashing success on Tuesday, May 6, at La Casa Vicina in New Windsor.

Over 40 exhibitors showcased their services to CCA members while DJ/Emcee Rick “The Zolz” Zolzer entertained and raffled gifts throughout the event.

There were also 2 educational presentations that gave attendees valuable information regarding the business side of the contractor business.  CPAs Tom Zupan and Nicole Gilmartin from RBT CPAs in Newburgh discussed Financial Literacy in Construction while James Heinzman, CPA with Schultheis & Panettieri, LLP, shared his expertise on payroll audits.

Surprise guest speaker Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler reminded the group there are always unscrupulous contractors who don’t play by the rules and that his office should be made aware of these businesses when encountered.
