Bio

Meyer J. Rider, the firm’s patriarch, commenced his practice of law in Newburgh in 1932 on Second Street, which was then Newburgh’s lawyers quarter. In the mid-forties Elliott M. Weiner joined him as an associate after leaving the US Attorney’s office, and they practiced together into the early fifties when Elliott left to form his own firm. The practice, though general, emphasized corporate and real estate development law.
