Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus and various local personalities stand in front of the former Maple Avenue School in Chester which the county recently purchased for $1. The school is over 70 years old and has numerous issues, including lead and asbestos (and maybe even a ghost or 2!). The county plans to stabilize and renovate the facility to make it a hi-tech training school to prepare our workforce for the opportunities coming into the Hudson Valley especially in advanced manufacturing and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
