Local 417 was chartered on October 29th, 1927 by the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental & Reinforcing Iron Workers.  The objective of this Union shall be to: (a) promote, by all proper means, the material and intellectual welfare of its members and their families, (b) secure, by all legal and proper means, adequate wages, working conditions and opportunities of employment.
